1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing or using Gestational Diabetes Tracker ("the app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What the app is for
The app is a personal health tracking and organisation tool. It is intended to help you record glucose readings, meals, carbohydrates, reminders, blood pressure, weight, ketones, medication doses, pregnancy details and related notes, and to present that information back to you as trends and reports you can share with your healthcare team.
You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial health tracking. You agree not to misuse it — for example by attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile or interfere with it, by using it unlawfully, or by presenting its output as a clinical assessment.
3. Your responsibilities
- Entering your information accurately, including readings, units and times.
- Reviewing your entries — the app displays what you record, and a mistyped value will be treated as real.
- Setting target ranges that match what your healthcare provider has given you.
- Protecting access to your device, since your health information is stored on it.
- Keeping your own backups of exported data if you want to be able to restore it.
- Relying on your healthcare provider, not the app, for healthcare decisions.
4. Medical disclaimer
The app does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
Target ranges, in-range indicators, trends, insights, patterns and reminders are informational descriptions of the data you entered. They must not override the instructions given to you by your doctor, obstetrician, midwife, diabetes educator or other qualified healthcare professional.
Do not start, stop or change any medication, insulin dose, diet plan or treatment based solely on information shown in the app. For urgent medical concerns, contact your healthcare professional or your local emergency service — the app is not an emergency service.
5. Reminders and notifications
Reminders and meal timers are convenience features. They are scheduled on your device, and the app cannot guarantee that a notification will always be delivered or appear on time. Delivery can be affected by:
- Device and app notification settings
- Android battery optimisation and background restrictions
- Notification permissions being denied or revoked
- Do Not Disturb, silent or focus modes
- The device being switched off, restarted or out of battery
- Manufacturer-specific power management or task-killing behaviour
- Force-stopping or uninstalling the app
You remain responsible for following the testing schedule your healthcare provider has given you, whether or not a reminder appears.
6. Data and backups
Your health data is stored locally on your device. There is no server copy and no account, which means the developer cannot retrieve your data for you. You are responsible for creating and safely keeping backups if you want to be able to restore your information.
The developer cannot recover locally stored data lost because of:
- Device failure, loss, theft or damage
- Replacing or resetting your device
- Accidental deletion, including use of "Delete all data"
- Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage
- A backup file that is lost, deleted, moved or corrupted
- Problems with a third-party service you chose to store a backup in
7. Pro subscription
The core of the app is free: logging glucose readings, meals, blood pressure, weight, ketones, medication and water, your target ranges, full history, basic reminders, glucose CSV export, backup and restore, deleting your data, the app lock, themes and accessibility options.
Gestational Diabetes Tracker Pro is an optional subscription that adds extra features, such as pattern insights, longer trend views, PDF reports, additional reminder options, meal photos, the home screen widget, the Wear OS companion and multiple pregnancy profiles. The features included in Pro are shown in the app before you subscribe and may change over time.
- Billing. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play, in your local currency, at the price shown before you confirm.
- Free trial. Where offered, a free trial is available to eligible new subscribers. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in Google Play. You keep Pro until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies.
- Your data. If your subscription ends, Pro features lock again, but nothing you have recorded is deleted and every free feature keeps working.
- Restoring. If you reinstall the app or move to a new phone with the same Google account, use "Restore purchases" in Settings.
8. Intellectual property
The app — including its source code, design, layout, illustrations, icons, colour system, text and name — is owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app in line with these terms.
This does not affect your ownership of the information you enter. The content you record remains yours, stays on your device, and you may export or delete it at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for loss or damage arising from:
- Medical decisions made using the app, or made in reliance on its trends, insights or indicators
- Information entered incorrectly, incompletely or in the wrong unit
- Reminders or notifications that are delayed, missed or not delivered
- Device failure, operating system behaviour or software conflicts
- Loss of locally stored data, or a failed or missing backup
- Interruption, unavailability or discontinuation of the app
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. You may also have statutory consumer rights that these terms do not affect.
10. Updates and availability
The app may be updated, changed, improved, suspended or discontinued at any time. Updates may add, alter or remove features. We may also update these terms; the effective date above shows when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
